Paula Getz

Lower School Director of Curriculum and Instruction M.Ed., Arizona State University

Paula Getz has been Lower School Director of Curriculum & Instruction since the  2022-2023 school year. Previously, Paula was a Class V homeroom teacher at the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ since 2001 and has over 30 years of classroom teaching experience. Paula has taught grades four through eight in numerous states across the country. In 2011, Paula was awarded Ä¢¹½´«Ã½â€™s Educator Prize. Paula enjoys being a student as much as she enjoys being a teacher. She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Pittsburgh and Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from Northern Arizona University. In December of 2017, Ms. Getz graduated from Arizona State University with a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Gifted Education. As LS Director of Curriculum & Instruction, Paula works closely with all teachers and supports them in developing units of study, sharing research-based best practices, and serving as an instructional coach to all LS faculty. One of her most cherished aspects of her role is when she is in the classroom, co-teaching and working with students of all ages, PreK through Class V!
