Class of 2026 - By the Numbers

June 4, 2026

Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ instills qualities of critical thought, curiosity, responsibility, and integrity as it helps students lay a foundation for college and beyond as they prepare to lead lives of meaning and purpose. Congratulations to the Class of 2026 for their accomplishments and extraordinary efforts as scholars, artists and athletes!

Perhaps more important now than ever is the liberal arts curriculum and interactive learning environment that they have experienced at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½. These students will take their skills of analysis, their deep and broad knowledge of many disciplines, and their communication, reading, writing, and discussion skills into their lives as critical thinkers, scientists, humanitarians, artists, future teachers and leaders.

This class is not only prepared to excel in college but also to pursue lives of meaning and purpose in an ever-changing world that needs citizens who question and dig deeper. Students credit their love of learning to the extraordinary breadth and depth of the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ college preparatory curriculum and programs, and the talented faculty who provide opportunities for each student to find and pursue their individual passions. The personal interest and attention given by the faculty helped each student succeed across a broad and demanding liberal arts curriculum.

Recognizing that this transition is important both for students and their families, Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ college counselors work individually with students and parents ensuring that each student will have college choices that align with their interests, needs, and will ultimately be the right fit for each student.

Acceptance rates far above national averages place the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ Class of 2026 among the top students in the country. The colleges and universities that the Class of 2026 will attend show how much hard work has gone into their time at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ and how carefully each student sought institutions of quality across the country. Students in °Â²¹³Ù±ð°ù´Ú´Ç°ù»å’s senior class will attend colleges that are suited to cultivate their passions and will continue to challenge them to succeed and excel in all of their future endeavors.

“We are so proud of the Class of 2026 and the work they have accomplished through their Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ careers. Whether they started in PreK-3 or in Upper School, they have fully engaged in learning at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½, broadly and deeply in all areas of the liberal arts. Graduates have learned to think deeply, to read and problem-solve, and reflect on where they want to go next. They have confidence in their abilities because of the hard work they have done at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½. Colleges seek students who have learned through this quality of curriculum and experiences as they build their classes. Colleges know Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ graduates are academically well-prepared, which is reflected in many parts of the application. The integrity and rigor of our academic program is seen and understood, and the preparation Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ graduates have shown on their campuses in the past are important factors, as well as the self-reflection and writing abilities our students show in the application process.

°Â²¹³Ù±ð°ù´Ú´Ç°ù»å’s 74  Class of 2026  graduates will attend world-class colleges and universities. We are proud that they have discovered, researched, gained entrance, and will attend 43 unique colleges, as well as engaging in apprenticeship, taking a gap year, serving Missions, and dancing ballet professionally. Students work one-on-one with our counselors to discover and gain admission to colleges where they will thrive. Knowing where and how to apply, and completing successful applications is achieved not just through a few months of the application process, but through learning and experiences with expert, caring, engaged teachers and coaches over the years, and through this, developing a sense of purpose. They are ready!”

Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ truly taught me how to love learning. Between dedicated faculty, diverse course selections, and similarly motivated peers, I constantly felt pushed to be the best version of myself, and grow as a student. I have always felt encouraged to be curious here, and because of that, I have learned to appreciate not only a wide variety of academic subjects throughout my time at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½, but I also found my place in both the photography department as well as the athletics department. Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ offering such rigorous courses has helped me learn the importance of good study habits, for which I am extremely grateful, because I know those will carry me far throughout my future in college. Not only that, but the college counseling program at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ is exceptional, and I have felt supported every step of this journey by such great faculty!

Ä¢¹½´«Ã½’s rigorous and diverse classes have encouraged me to keep an open mind about what I am passionate about. Outside the classroom, school clubs have also allowed me to expand my leadership skills and explore my interests while also connecting meaningfully with supportive classmates and dedicated teachers. These experiences have ultimately given me the confidence and adaptability to embrace the breadth of opportunities that college has to offer.

Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ has taught me that being part of a strong community means you can contribute in more than one way. Through sports, academics, extracurriculars, and so much more, my peers and I have taken advantage of our opportunities to make a lasting impact on °Â²¹³Ù±ð°ù´Ú´Ç°ù»å’s culture. °Â²¹³Ù±ð°ù´Ú´Ç°ù»å’s close-knit environment has shown me that every individual plays an important role in strengthening a community. These experiences have helped me grow into a more dependable person. I can confidently say that I can contribute meaningfully to communities I will join in college and beyond.

Gavin RurkaColgate University (NY)

Gavin is exactly the kind of person a community needs—a loyal, good-humored connector who makes everyone around him feel included and at ease. Transferring to Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ in Class X, he embraced its rigor and completely made the experience his own. As captain of the state-champion lacrosse team, he leads with full commitment; it was entirely fitting that he scored the championship-winning goal. Gavin’s warmth and wit leave a lasting legacy.

Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ prepared me for college by having close relationships with all my teachers. This allowed for me to feel comfortable reaching out and getting support when needed. This facilitated the interactions I hope to form in college.

Katelyn understands excellence and pursues it relentlessly. The accomplished dancer we see today started as an aspiring 4-year-old willing to put in the work. She brings that same drive to her scholarship, her singing with the Troubadours, and her work mentoring peers as a writing fellow. Her quiet humor and attentive excellence add rigor and depth to any conversation.  Outside of school, she cares for vulnerable horses, and draws strength from their resilience. Katelyn has had a tremendous impact on our school.

Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ has taught me to showcase my passions and share inspiration within the community. The school’s unwavering support has encouraged me to embrace what makes me unique and get involved meaningfully. Though it took me a while to find who I wanted to be, I found inspiration to become a creative leader true to myself and my passions with the help of students, teachers, college counselors, and faculty members. Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ has become more colorful because of that. Inspired, I learned about the art of giving and shared my love for art with others so they could experience the same joy. Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ offers countless opportunities to grow and give, and it is a gift that ensures success.

Diane JungWashington University in St. Louis (MO)

Energetic, insightful and smart, Diane is most fully herself when creating art and sharing it across the campus—whimsical posters for student activities, brilliant paintings in the gallery, and inspiring depictions of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons displayed while the orchestra performs. Devoted to community service, she also TAs in Middle School art classes, and is passionate about environmental art. Diane has given so much to her community. She will be deeply missed.

Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ played a key role in me finding my true passions inside and outside of the classroom. Through following the principles of liberal arts, I explored many subjects which led me to find the topics and activities I now love. With supportive teachers that foster curiosity, I dove deeper into my personal engineering projects and photography. Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ has not only prepared me for college by helping me cultivate my interests, but also by teaching me to achieve excellence by going above and beyond.

Smart, reliable, and  authentic, Thomas has spent his years at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ pursuing what genuinely matters to him—rowing, robotics, and Science Olympiad, activities where his passion for understanding how things work, and his desire to improve society, found a natural home. Diligent and kind in everything he does, he brings an earnestness and generosity of spirit to our community that his peers have leaned on and will not forget.

The small classes and supportive community at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ allowed me to learn how to advocate for myself in the classroom and discover what kind of student I want to be!

Dalloway SmithUniversity of Michigan (MI)

With joy and humility, Dalloway captivates every room she enters—performing exquisitely on her cello, commanding the stage in theater, and elevating discussions of literature. Her compassion runs deep, finding expression in her work as a Writing Fellow and in the impressive social-emotional intelligence her peers have relied on for years. Talented across every domain she inhabits, she leaves Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ having given generously of gifts that were never ordinary.

Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ has given me a wonderful foundation for college, both in an educational sense and beyond. It showed me the importance of a well rounded liberal arts education in becoming a multifaceted person, while equipping me with the skills to thrive in any academic setting. But what I’m most grateful for, even more than the incredible education, is what Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ taught me about community.

Throughout my years here, I always appreciated how intentional they were about making each person feel vital to the spirit of the school; this was something I took for granted until I grew older and realized how rare it truly is. That sense of tight knit belonging, shared not just among students but with faculty as well, has inspired me to carry that same intention forward and to cultivate a strong, meaningful community in my coming college years.
